A designer, lecturer, entrepreneur and technologist living in Singapore. Howie is UX Design Principal at BuUuk where he champions simplicity (but no simpler) and represent the voice of the frustrated user.
He is also Adjunct Lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic, Co-Founder of Stylelogue and recently started UI-Porn, a visual parade of the sexiest, yummiest iOS user interfaces and mobile patterns.

He was previously Academic Associate at the School of Technology for the Arts, Republic Polytechnic. His facilitation modules include Anthropological Studies, Interaction Design and New Media Enterprise.

Prior to that, he was an Application Engineer with Giesecke & Devrient, a leading supplier of banknote paper, banknote printing, currency automation systems, as well as smart cards and complex system solutions.

He is known among his peers as someone who is passionate in all things digital and has deep appreciation for what he calls “thoughtful” interactions. He enjoys engaging in social slipstreaming and finds fulfillment in spending time with his loved ones.

Born in Penang, Malaysia in 1983, Howie received his formal education at Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore), where he graduated with a Diploma in Multimedia Infocommunication Technology and subsequently received his Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Technology & Design at SIM University (Singapore). He is also a recipient of the King Scout Award, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of Malaysia.

He is married to Joy and they now live in the westside of Singapore.
